CORE BIM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
-
Revit Template
Depending on the team’s workflows the goal is to develop a kit of parts where most of what you need for each project is included. This speeds up the design and documentation process.
Views and sheets are already setup. You shouldn’t have to create views and sheets every time you start a new project. Bulk editing and removing unwanted views and sheets it’s much faster than creating them from scratch.
View templates (publish). Consistency in graphics, visibility, and filters throughout views of the same type. Selectively transfer settings from one view template to another.
Working and coordination views. Separate views that are setup/color coded to facilitate internal and multidisciplinary coordination.
Sheet template. Creating sample sheets with recurring information (general notes, schedules, legends) that can easily be copied can be a real time saver throughout the life of a project.
Titleblock management. Tools to align titleblocks from one sheet to another so it’s easy to swap titleblocks of different sizes (E.g. going from 24x36 to 30x42).
Schedules. They should be ready in the template so that they populate automatically as you design (whether they are internal or to be published)
Code/calculation sheets that are ready to be customized for the project.
Optimization: Review for duplicates, redundancies, and other unnecessary content to be purged.
-
Project Setup
We put all the content and workflows in place so you can start designing in Revit within a few minutes while having levels/views/sheets ready to be printed at any time.
View setup: based on project requirements
View Alignment. Tools to ensure that plan views are aligned (stackable) from sheet to sheet and elevations/details are set on a grid on sheet.
Manage linked models: visibility, location/coordinates, levels
Sheet setup in coordination with other disciplines.

Standard Set and Revit Model
Using an approved set of drawings to establish your firm’s drawings standards is the foundation for consistency, training, and feedback loop.
Store: A tool and reference to store all the design and documentation standards in one place
Adapt: A place to capture edits and updates to the standards
Guide: A guide to help new hires and established designers conform to your firm’s standards.
Train: a training tool that utilizes commentary (Revit commands and settings) on how to meet those standards in the quickest and most accurate way.
Showcase: you can utilize this same set as an updated Sample deliverables when required for proposals.
-
Standard Detail Library
These are typical details you can trust and quickly adapt edits to every project. They solely include parametric detail components. Notes/graphics are consistent throughout the library.
-
Container files
Content here can be kept on the same “Revit development version”and can be used to quickly “shop” for the right family as opposed to spending time searching and adapting.
-
Automations
Revit helps us achieve a better, more informed design often at the expense of spending more time developing and coordinating in 3D. Plugins and scripts can help offset that extra time.
Our process.
We focus on time savings that come from the consistency of documentation.
Learning about your current workflows and standards
Taking quick action on urgent topics
Identifying areas of improvement with a focus on time savings and proposing actionable solutions
Developing workflows and content that fit your way of doing things.
Getting your staff the training and documentation to make that happen.
